Advice lines
Our free and confidential telephone advice lines have provided many thousands of women with legal advice and information to help them access justice and safety from violence against women and girls.
We believe that all women have the right to accurate and accessible advice and information about the law and their legal rights. Women need this advice and information to enable them to make safe and informed choices for themselves and their families. Without this advice and information, women will continue to experience violence, abuse and discrimination and cannot play an equal role in society.
We work to ensure that, at some of the most difficult times in their lives, women are able to talk to a lawyer who can give them expert and non-judgemental legal advice or get clear and accessible information about the law and their legal rights.
We deliver a range of high quality and accessible services aimed at increasing women’s understanding of the law and their ability to seek justice.
Legal guides
We provide accessible information on the legal issues which impact on women’s lives in order to improve their knowledge about the legal rights and remedies available to them.
Policy and advocacy
We work to ensure that women’s voices are heard at the highest levels and to bring about real change in women’s access to the law and justice.

We provide professionals with a practical understanding of the legal rights and remedies available to the women they work with. In this way we pass on more knowledge and information to women in need.
