Rights of Women is a charity that provides free confidential legal advice and information to women on the law in England and Wales with a specific focus on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). We also campaign for access to justice and safety for all women.

We advise, educate and empower women by providing free, confidential specialist legal advice, enabling women to understand and benefit from their legal rights.
We have provided many thousands of women with free legal advice and information to increase their access to justice. Read some of their stories here.
In 1975, Rights of Women was founded by a group of women legal workers to help women find their way around the many man-made laws that affected them. Read about our herstory here.
Rights of Women is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We actively encourage applications from women from a diversity of backgrounds, and with a range of skills and experiences. We are particularly interested to hear from women from Black and minoritised backgrounds.
Rights of Women is a charitable organization, with regulated immigration and legal advice services. We are a free service with a comprehensive complaints procedure, and information provided will be kept in accordance with our privacy policy.
