Through the Family Justice and Domestic Abuse Partnership, led by Rights of Women, we are working to improve family justice practice for survivors of domestic abuse. This project began in 2023.
Together with our local partners in the family justice system, domestic abuse support services and survivors, we are developing a model of joint working that supports the implementation of best practice across a local area.
Grounded in learning from survivors’ experiences and complimenting ongoing national family justice reform, the partnership has developed resources to help professionals understand barriers to safe practice, test new ways of working together and embed approaches that better protect women and children. They are designed to support learning, reflection and practical change at a local level.
