Rights of Women provides free and confidential advice to ensure that, at some of the most difficult times in their lives, women don’t have to face the legal system alone. We also campaign for positive changes to the law so that ultimately more women can seek justice with confidence.

When I left my home I thought that I would never be able to go back. Rights of Women told me my rights and gave me the confidence to represent myself in court, something which I never thought possible. I’ve since obtained both orders and am so relieved that both my children and I are finally safe.

We are the only charity dedicated to providing frontline legal advice to women survivors across England and Wales, to help them access justice and safety.

Our advice is provided by our small staff and volunteer team of specialist women lawyers, who support over 3000 women callers each year, but there are many more women who urgently need our help.

The reason why we can’t answer every call is quite simply because we don’t have the funding available to resource it. That’s why we need your help to meet the demand for our advice lines. Will you answer the call?
