Have you used our legal advice and information services or signposted other women to them? Please help us fundraise to maintain and develop them by completing our short surveys:

  • All our advisors are women solicitors or barristers with expertise in the relevant areas of law.

  • We can only advise in English on the law as it applies in England and Wales.

  • We can speak to individual women seeking legal advice as well as individuals and organisations who support women with these issues.

  • The advice lines can be extremely busy, so please be patient. In addition, the women solicitors and barristers who advise on our evening sessions are all volunteers. This means that occasionally we have to close the line, sometimes at short notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and recommend that you call the advice line to hear a recorded message confirming the available sessions this week.

  • We cannot advise outside of the advertised advice line times or by email.

  • Legal advice is available by telephone or textphone only. We do not see women face to face and cannot answer email enquiries. Please read our FAQ section here

  • You can download free legal guides and other publications on legal issues affecting women here.

  • If you are an advisor, please also see Advice for advisors.
