Please note that we can only advise in English on the law as it applies in England and Wales and that legal advice is available by telephone or textphone only. We can speak to individual women seeking legal advice. We cannot provide advice to third parties on this line.  

Please note that we currently have lower staffing levels on our advice line than usual. Unfortunately this means that we may need to close some of our advice line sessions during the daytime. The advice lines can be extremely busy, so please be patient. In addition, the women barristers and solicitors who advise on our evening sessions are all volunteers. This inevitably means that because of volunteer absence we occasionally have to close the line at short notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and recommend that you call the Advice Line on 020 7251 6577 for the week’s open sessions.
